"ARTrageous"

On May 22nd, Elijah and I attended the ARTrageous charity event at Cipriani Wall Street.  Chopard donated a pendant for their live auciton.  It was great to have a nice date night together!  Also, if you are a fan of the "Top Chef" show, I was seated next to Tom Colicchio (the head judge).  I have actually never seen the show, but I was still excited because my good friend's boyfriend is currently auditioning for the next season.  Good luck Francis!

"Eighteen Weeks"

Whoa belly!  Well, the expansion continues and the belly is definitely starting to show.  I've noticed a big change over the last week.  (This picture was taken right after I got out of the shower - so please ignore the wet hair look!)

I was promised by many that the morning sickness would subside at about sixteen weeks.  However, this has not really been the case with me.  I will admit that the first four weeks of sickness were by far the worst, but I definitely still suffer with it! :(  However, I find myself getting more and more excited about the pregnancy now that I'm actually starting to look like a pregnant person.  Also, we should be finding out the sex soon!  We tried to find out at fifteen weeks, but the baby was kneeling.  Elijah said that the baby was praying and could not be interrupted!  Hopefully, at our next appointment the baby will be more cooperative!

"Georgia On My Mind"

Being pregnant has made me feel a little homesick.  So the first weekend of May I decided to take a trip down to Georgia.  I had a relaxing time hanging out with my family.  This picture is with my brother Peyton and sister Chelsea.   For those of you who don't know, Chelsea will soon be a New Yorker.  She is going to be our nanny!  I can't wait for all of you here to meet her - she is the best! :)

I got to spend some time with my lifelong friend Kate.  We've known each other since we were five!

On April 19th, Elijah and I attended a wedding reception for Pastor Bojan and Jamie.  They make a beautiful couple!

"Coincidence"

What a coincidence!  On the way home from Colombia, we ran into my Uncle Bo, his wife Lisa and their girls Alayna and Alexandra in the airport in Miami.  They were coming back from a trip to Jamaica.  It was so great to catch up with them!

"That's Our Baby!"

Asher is starting to look like a real baby now!  This sonogram was taken at 13 weeks.  I was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time!

"Voyage to the Motherland"

On April 5th, Elijah and I took a trip to Colombia.  Both of Elijah's parents are from the coastal town of Barranquilla and many of their family members still reside there.  It was my first time traveling to Colombia, and it was so wonderful to meet his grandmother and many other relatives.  It was also nice that Elijah's mom, brother and sister all traveled from Georgia to meet us there for the week.  We had an amazing time!  Enjoy the pictures!

"12 weeks"

This is my 12-week progression photo.  At this point, my body is definitely a little "fuller"!

On top of seeing some physical changes, I have definitely been feeling pregnant.  Since week seven I have been extremely nauseous!  I also don't have as much energy, and I always feel like taking a nap in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, since I work full-time that is usually not an option! 

"E.T."

This sonogram was taken at 11 weeks of pregnancy.  We like to call this Asher's alien phase! :)  The baby's legs were kicking like crazy and I could see the heart beating!

"Stella Bella"

Elijah is getting in a little more parenting practice with our goddaughter Stella.  He is very proud that one of her first words was E-LI-JAH!!
