"A Few More Pics From Home"

Elijah's sister Elianna just sent me the pictures she took while we were in Columbus so I thought I would share a few.  This is Asher practicing his soccer kicks with an orange.  Elianna did actually catch him kicking the orange on video, but she hasn't sent me that yet...

"Happy New Year"

New Year's Eve was so much!  We spent the holiday in Columbus and had a baby-free night out with Elijah's long-time friend Mac.  Mai did the babysitting - thanks Mai!

We had a nice dinner at a seafood restaurant called The Market.

Then, we went to a jazz bar owned by Elijah's friend Eric's father.  The band was amazing!

"Making New Friends"

Asher had so many new people to meet while he was in Georgia.  It made for quite a busy schedule!  Uncle Mac was definitely one of his favorites!!

We had a great night out in Atlanta with Cristin and Jay Jernigan and Jenn and Jeremy Williamson.  Cristin is teaching Jay how to hold a baby in this pic! :)  He did end up getting some good practice!

Eric and Angie came home for a visit while we were in Columbus.  Eric's parents made us a wonderful dinner and Mac also joined us.  Angie is also expecting a little boy in March (not that you can tell by this picture)!  We can't wait for Asher and Hayden to be best of friends!

"Southern Christmas"

Contrary to Asher's expression in this photo, we had a wonderful Christmas in Pelham, Georgia.  My brother just can't miss an opportunity for a silly photo op.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  It was in the 70's most days, and every time we stepped outside and Asher felt the warm breeze he smiled really big.  I think he was just so happy that he didn't have to be bundled up in his bear suit every time we left the house like he does here!

Elijah's family made the trip from Columbus so that both of our families could be together for Asher's first Christmas.  What a wonderful, memorable holiday for our boy!

The proud Grandmas!  Mimi and Mai both would love to take over Chelsea's position as Asher's nanny.  They were both so heartbroken when Asher had to come back to New York. :(

"Asher Meets The Mirandas"

The look on Elijah's Mom's face in this picture really says it all.  I get a little choked up when I look at it.  This was her first time seeing Asher.  We flew to Georgia for the holidays, and Elijah's parents insisted on picking us up from the airport even though we were going to Pelham to visit my parents first.  They had been waiting almost two whole months to meet this little boy, and they couldn't wait any more.  We decided to go to Columbus with them for the afternoon before driving to Pelham so that Elijah's siblings could meet him as well.  Wow is Asher going to be one spoiled little baby!!
